Inground Pool FAQs

Q: How long does it take to build an inground swimming pool?

A: From start to finish, appoximately 4 to 5 weeks, depending on the weather

Q: Does Niagara Pools do it’s own work, or is the job sub-contracted out?

A: Niagara Pools has been building inground swimming pools since 1957. We do all our own construction.

Q: Since I’ve never owned an inground pool before, how do I know what size, design, and depth would be best for me?

A: This is a very important question that does not have a simple answer. There are many factors that go into planning the right inground pool design to meet your needs. You need to consider your property size, location of the pool, a diving or non-diving pool, your lifestyle, etc. This is why it’s important to make an appointment with one of our professional specialist to discuss your pool plans, to assist you in selecting the right pool for you.

Q: Are there any other pool sanitizers other than chlorine, because my children have sensitive skin and I don’t want to smell like I was swimming in a bottle of bleach?

A: At Niagara Pools we have a purification sanitizer that uses silver and copper, a mineral based system instead of an all chlorine based system. This eliminates chlorine odor, dry skin, bleached hair, that “sticky feeling” and special shampoos to get chlorine out of your hair. It’s also extremely easy to use.

Q: Are there any “Hidden Cost” when purchasing an inground pool?

A: The Inground pool specialist will discuss the “Hidden Cost” with you so that you don’t have any “Suprises” when you plan your budget for your inground pool. There are many areas that can just cost the consumer more money then the quote. That is why we take the time to explain these potential areas to you.

Q: A friend told me that pools are a lot of work; is that true?

A: All inground pools require some maintenance but at Niagara Pools we have reduced the maintenance to make it easier for you. For example, We use a two pump system so that you can filter your water and clean your pool simultaneously, drastically reducing your maintenance time. We have a purification system that only requires changing a canister once a season. A water test strip that just takes seconds to check your water chemistry. So although there is some work, at Niagara Pools we have made your maintenance much easier.
